We have over 18 years teaching dive courses here in Loreto B.C.S. We teach PADI courses from Introductions to diving all the way to training Divemasters. Many of the courses can be done in two stages. Coursework can be done online and the dives can be done here in Loreto. We have 2 instructors available to teach, boats designed for diving, plenty of equipment for large groups of students, and the best classroom (the Sea of Cortez) one could ask for. Courses are minimum 2 however if additional people would like to come along to snorkel or are already certified they are welcome to join.
All courses include: food, drinks, National Marine Park passes, tanks, weights, full gear, instructor, cert card and materials where required.
If you have always wanted to learn how to SCUBA dive, discover new adventures, or simply to see the underwater world of the Loreto National Marine Park, The PADI Introduction to SCUBA course is for you. Its fun and gets you in the water quickly! In this 1 day dive course we go the basic principals of diving,and equipment. We practice basic dive skills and practice swimmng with dive gear from the shallows of the beach. For the next part we go for a real dive off the boat in no more than 35 feet of water. Next step? The PADI Open Water Diver Course is the worlds most popular SCUBA course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle. The PADI Open Water Diver course consist of three main phases: Knowledge Development (home study, online learning, or in our classroom), 5 confined water dives to learn basic skills, and 4 Open Water Dives to review your skills, practice diving, and have fun!! If you have completed your online course this class takes 3 days to complete.
Have you completed your confined water training, knowledge development elsewhere during the past year? If so you can complete your 4 Open Water Dives with us. Please bring your referral training record, completed and signed by your instructor. We can also accept referral forms from other known dive agencies.
They’re what the Advanced Open Water Course is all about. You do not need to be “advanced” to take the course. Its designed so that you can take it right after the PADI Open Water Diver Course. The Open Water Diver Course helpsyou increase your confidence and build you SCUBA skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is done under the supervision of an instructor in 5 specialty dives. Two are madatory Navigation and Deep (60-100ft). The other three are determined by you and your instructor.
This course is said to be one of the most challenging, most rewarding, and one of the most fun as well. In this course we go into detail about preventing and managing problems that may come up while in the water. In doing so you also become more confident as a diver knowing that you can handle an emergency. Through classroom study and practice drills in the water you will learn: Self rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, Emergency management and equipment, rescuing panicked divers, rescuing unresponsive divers.
Looking for the first step in a SCUBA career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational SCUBA diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with the student divers. These skills are developed through independent study and clasroom. You also have plenty of drills and scenarios to expand your knowlege.
